CVSA / POLYGRAPH Test - What To Expect
Usually the very first step in the polygraph procedure is filling out an information packet about your past. On the day of your polygrpah / cvsa, you will show up and be asked to sit down. One of the first things done usually is going over the questions you will be asked. The examiner will slowly go over each question with you before you are hooked up. Then once you have been over every question you will be hooked up to the machine. During a polygraph test you will have three different attachments on you. One around your chest, and two on your hand. For a cvsa test you only will have a microphone cliped onto your shirt. Once hooked up you will proceed on with the test. During the test you will be asked the same exact questions that you went over before the test began. The examiner will slowly ask you each question, pausing between each question for about 10-20 seconds. This is when the examiner is looking at how you are making the chart move. The test can take anywhere from 30 minutes to hours. You may have to take the test more than once that day so be prepared.
